Installation Tips and Tricks
Installing a lean-to pergola is a manageable DIY project, but it does require some planning. Here are a few tips to help ensure a successful installation:
-
Preparation: Before starting, make sure you have a clear idea of where you want your pergola to go. Measure your space carefully and ensure the area is level and free of obstructions.
-
Assemble the Posts and Rails: Start by securing the notched posts into place using the ground fixing kit. Once the posts are in place, attach the notched rails and runners according to the width of your pergola.
-
Secure the Structure: Ensure that all screws and fixtures are tightened properly. Check that everything is level and aligned before finalizing the installation.
-
Inspect for Imperfections: Timber is a natural material, and you may notice small cracks or slight imperfections. These are completely normal and add to the unique character of your pergola.
-
Get Some Help: Having at least one other person assist you will make the assembly process easier and more efficient. Plus, it’s always more fun to work on a project with a friend or family member!
